Mian Role & Responsibilities :
The National Tariff Commission is responsible for the following:
1. Investigating and making recommendations on complaints relating to dumping and subsidies.
2. Monitoring trends in international trade.
3. Conducting economic research on trade-related issues.
4. Providing technical assistance to developing countries on trade-related issues.

Selection Procedure :
Each position’s selection process comprises an evaluation of academic qualifications and relevant experience followed by an interview. The final selection of the candidate will be made on merit as per the criteria announced against each position.

Entrance Test :
(a) Written Test: All candidates must pass a written test. The written test shall comprise objective-type questions on the subject/discipline-specific to the position.
(b) Interviews: Candidates who qualify for a written test shall be called for an interview. The interview shall assess the candidate’s suitability for the position applied in the context of overall suitability/competence as may be decided by the Commission.
(c) Merit: The merit shall be prepared based on the marks obtained in the written test and interview put together. If a candidate could not appear in the interview for any reason, his written test score will be considered for finalizing the merit.
